Born in Iran and moved to Europe during the war in 1985. I had my first camera when I was 7 (maybe because I wouldn’t stop playing with my father’s one!) and since then I’ve been developing my curiosity about the art of photography as a Self-taught. However, I progressively started shooting less and less after the advent of digital camera, until I bought an old Leica (1936) three years ago at a Londoner street market. The first roll of film was a rebirth. Since then, rediscovering my passion in its authentic way, I never leave home without one of my cameras. Living and working both in Paris and London, I have gotten used to have a break during my everyday corporate life and turn my lunchtime into street photography session.
Since my very personal pleasure is the photography itself and not only the pictures taken, I’m not keen of shooting tons but rather seeking that one which will make me feel most rewarded. Hence, I turn my camera on full manual (though most of my cameras have no automatic device), I try to anticipate and I stay patient before triggering each image. I try to shoot it authentic, aesthetic and poetic with leaving enough space for the imagination to complete the story to be told.
