Keiko Hosoya is a Japanese conceptual artist based in Tokyo. She attended Sociology (media theory) faculty at University. She started her artistic career in 2000, and since then she has been working and exhibiting internationally, especially in UK, Netherlands, and Germany. Her production is influenced by Buddhist philosophy and includes video art, sound art and mixed media/collage. Her visual works are thematically based in media theory, while her sounds are mainly experimental, ambient, and drone-oriented, using clarinet, piano, and computer/electronics alongside the sound of objects, including glass and paper. She exhibited for the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Tokyo in 2018 and she performed live at Tura Totally Huge New Music Festival in Perth, Australia in 2017.
