After a long career in fashion, I turned to art. Based in France for over 2 decades, I am a self taught artist working mainly in acrylics. I draw inspiration from Toulouse Lautrec, Jean Cocteau, Matisse and later Richard Diebenkorn and Helen Frankenthaler and the many different cultures encountered living and working in Europe.
I attended Gage Academy of Art, a fine art school in Seattle, Washington, USA, specializing in drawing, painting and sculpting. It was a traditional observational education, although I prefer to work from imagination and let the work lead the way.
My current work has focused on the isolation of the pandemic and abstraction of the building I live in and a feeling of blues and solitude.
