The three pieces contained in this submission were crafted as a figurative, yet metaphorical representation of how I felt during 2018, a year spent being victim of domestic abuse. Although it was not my intention for the paintings to draw the inner turmoil and fear I went through, it seems to me now my artwork tells the story of what life was like for me back then.

    Isis A. Díaz, a.k.a. fourtoeight.

Isis A. Díaz was born in Caracas (Venezuela) in 1987. She was introduced to Spanish Art while still being a child by her grandfather, who had a background in Spanish Art curation and preservation in South America. She moved to Madrid (Spain) in 2011 in order to pursuit a career as an illustrator, but left the idea aside for a few years.

She began her career as an independent graphic artist, under the nickname fourtoeight, during Spring 2017.

She specializes in figurative surreal painting and concept illustration. Her artwork is imaginative, full of symbols and visual metaphors that take the shapes of colors, animals, expressions and gestures... telling stories in a way no other human language could.
