Katja Wunder was born in Siberia in the city of Novokuznetsk, based in Germany. Parallel to school, she attended an art school in which she worked with different materials and gained knowledge in art. She has never stopped painting since then.
“With my painting I escape everyday life and dive down into the world of colors and shapes. For me, creating art and painting means "seeing new things arise", "developing yourself and life and being actively involved" as well as "awakening emotions" and relaxing. First and foremost is the synergy of colors and shapes and the striving for harmony in colors. The motifs arise during the creation process and a vague idea or current mood. Passion is always an important aspect alongside the attention to detail. I use different materials and my hands excessively in some paintings instead of brushes. For years my painting style has changed as I have attended different courses, of course through inspiration from other artists and also traveling and discovering other cultures. At the moment abstract painting is close to my heart and I love painting eyes. My motto is: - You can change a lot in a woman's body, but her eyes and looks of eyes remain unchanged-.”
